My Husband Is A Mysterious Billionaire

Chapter 1 A Quarrel With Her Family

In a private hospital in Sherpole.

"Snap!"

Thea Scott received a hard slap in the face.

However, her father, Roger Scott, didn't stop. He wanted to give her another slap, but she grabbed his hand tightly, making him stop.

Thea stared straight at him with angry and icy eyes. Her voice was cold as she said, "Though I was born out of wedlock, you can't trample on my dignity like that!"

"Well, you're really out of line! Thea Scott! I was so kind to allow you to have my family name. Since you are a Scott, you have to obey what I said.

"It's not up to you to decide whether to marry him or not." Roger's big belly trembled as he shouted in anger, which made him look so funny.

Thea sneered.

"Do you even need me to tell you how the country law works? Do you want me to call the police?"

"Bitch!" Roger was livid with rage, and he roared furiously with an imposing manner.

Clang.

Thea opened the door of the ward, and some nurses happened to walk by.

Roger immediately stopped shouting but just glared at Thea.

"I gave you money to study abroad. Is disrespecting me what you've learned there? I would rather have spent the money on an idiot than you."

"Yeah, your money indeed all went to an idiot who stirred up trouble and needed me to clean up his mess!"

When Helen Scott, who had been sitting there and watching the show, heard Thea mocking her son, she couldn't help but yell, "Thea Scott, how could you be so ungrateful?

"It was with our money that you could live such a good life and study abroad! Shouldn't you return our kindness?"

"Can you stop flattering yourself? Have I ever spent a penny from your family in the past eight years? I was admitted to an abroad university through my own effort.

"Are you sure you want to bring this up? How about I give the president of that university a call? Or you can go to the bank to check if you have transferred a penny to me."

Thea calmly retorted. The Scott family didn't take her in until she was fifteen. She was aware that her mother had spent her last years to make that happen.

Although Thea was hated and even abused by the Scotts, she gritted her teeth and held on.

She would rather go to boarding schools than stay at the Scotts' place.

She studied hard and got free tuition and scholarships to support her study and life.

She had wanted to stay away from the Scott family by going abroad, but to her astonishment, the Scotts lied that her grandmother fell sick and needed her to come back.

It was totally a trap.

Thea's half-brother offended someone he couldn't afford to and needed her to clean up his mess by marrying that person.

How ridiculous!

None of them had the right to decide her fate.

Her voice successfully attracted many people's attention.

Seeing this, Thea raised her voice and continued, "Ryan made a mistake, yet you forced me to marry a strange man to make up for it. We are living in a law-governed society. Don't I have the right to decide on my own life?

"Mrs. Helen Scott, though I'm just your stepdaughter, I'm not such an eyesore of yours that you are so eager to marry me off, right?"

As soon as Thea said that, those onlookers instantly understood what was going on.

At the same time, they began to defend Thea and even accused Helen of being vicious.

Helen had never been treated like that before. She hurriedly stood next to Roger and stamped her feet in anger. "Hubby, look what she did"

Thea looked on coldly, and before Roger could speak, she cut in, "Dad, I know you have a son and a daughter with Helen, so you don't like me anymore. I could understand that.

"I don't want any property of the Scott family, and I won't step into your house again. Please don't meddle in my life. I can't agree to your request. Please forgive me."

After that, Thea turned around and took the opportunity to leave.

Roger glared in anger when he saw Thea running away.

"Thea Scott, come back! Come back, bitch!"

His cursing words provoked even stronger indignation among the onlookers. They all defended Thea and blocked the door.

They pointed at Roger and Helen and swore non-stop.

Roger couldn't bear it and had to close the door.

Helen had never expected Thea to become so tough after the latter studied abroad.

Thinking that it would be hard to explain themselves to the Raven family, Helen asked worriedly, "Hubby, what should we do now? The Raven family is pressing us to give them Thea."

Roger was very annoyed, too. "I won't let anything happen to our son."

In the blink of an eye, he came up with an idea.

He dialed a number at once.

Since Thea had returned home, she certainly would visit her mother's grave.

She placed a bunch of pink roses, her mother's favorite flowers, in front of the tombstone.

Staring at her mother's photo with a smile, she said, "Mom, I'm sorry that I didn't come back to visit you these years. You are not angry with me, are you?

"Don't worry. I'm fine. You have to take good care of yourself, understand?"

Thea had so many things to tell her mother and wanted to share her interesting abroad life with her, to find some peace of mind.

She knew that she could not leave Sherpole in a short time.

This time, she had to settle the things between her and the Scott family once and for all, lest something like that happened again.

"Mom, I'll come and visit you in another day, okay?"

Suddenly, a voice broke the silence.

"Tut-tut. You resemble your mother a lot. But you are much prettier, Thea."
